About this Role:

Overwatch is seeking a Mission Success Manager who is responsible for coordinating, resourcing and overseeing the execution of airborne imaging collection operations and leading initiatives to increase mission success.  This key team leader will manage the team testing hardware and software products, technical publications creation, training implementation, and field operations, to exceed end-user expectations.  Additionally, the Mission Success Manager will identify continuous improvement initiatives to deliver critical intelligence faster through automation and improve the operations of missions that matter.

​About Overwatch:

Overwatch Imaging is automating the collection, analysis, and delivery of time-critical geospatial intelligence for missions that matter. Overwatch AI software automatically manages airborne sensors through smart pointing commands, automated detection of objects of interest, and computer-generated reporting of collected intelligence outputs for communications-efficient reporting. Overwatch smart sensors are multi-camera, multi-spectral stabilized airborne payloads designed for automated operation by edge computers rather than human sensor operators. Together, our capabilities enable life-saving agencies to scan wide areas and find small objects of interest, faster and more efficiently than with human-in-the-loop systems, so our customers can focus less on the search and more on the best response.

  

What You’ll do:

​

People, Process and Tools Management:  Manages daily tasks, and coaches for long term development, our team of multi-discipline field operators.  Develops and maintains team processes, tools, training materials and testing resources.  Leads mission success initiatives and conducts performance reviews to ensure business goals and objectives are met.

 

Operations Project Management:  Maintains team schedule for operational deployments, customer training and documentation releases.  Mitigates risks, prioritizes key tasks, and communicates internally to stakeholders.  Balances short-term needs with long term goals and initiatives.

Product Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Oversees the testing of payloads and new features while organizing product feedback and improvement opportunities. Identifies customer operational objectives and evaluates the system against the derived requirements for each customer delivery. Feeds design improvements to the software and hardware design teams.

Aircraft Integration:  Oversees pre-delivery and on-site technical expertise to guide the installation of aircraft payloads and the entry-into-service period.

Technical Publication and Trainings:  Leads the team to develop high-class training and product documentation ensuring end-users successfully operate our products and understand the value that we bring to their mission.

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

Experience and Education:

• Experience in aerospace and defense, particularly with mid-sized unmanned aircraft and/or airborne camera systems.

• Experience with defect reporting and tracking tools a plus.

• BS degree in a technical field required, advanced degree related to software, automation, or engineering leadership desired

Technical Competence:

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Ability to troubleshoot issues, use data to drive decisions, and promptly communicate findings.

• Aviation systems, sensor operation and remote sensing is a plus

• Translating near- and longer-term desires into tasks, and tasks into delivered results

• Performance feedback and employee skill development

• Familiarity with imaging and image data, data formatting, geospatial information, systems, automation techniques, machine learning and computer vision
