About the Role
The Overwatch Imaging Quality Assurance Analyst will create and maintain detailed test plans for comprehensive coverage of software features and functionality, analyze test results and actively contribute to agile development and software release management processes. This team member plays a key role in establishing testing procedures and best practices and achieving quality and reliability of our software products throughout the development lifecycle ensuring products are built to our high standards and working as intended to support delivery of advanced imaging payloads for airborne systems.
What You'll Do
Software Quality Assurance: Works closely with software developers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and to monitor and improve quality of delivered software products over time. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and identify testable scenarios. Isolates, reproduces, and documents software defects and verifies defect fixes.
Software Test Process: Continuously monitor and evaluate software quality metrics, identifying trends and proposing strategies for improvement. Collaborates to develop effective software testing strategies, as well as plans and creates manual and automated test procedures to validate functionality. Reviews and analyzes test results and ensures that software product meets established ISO quality standards, compliance requirements and usability standards.
Quality Management System: Supports the culture of continuous improvement through ISO procedure revisions, audits of current practices, as well as identification of new opportunities to increased product qualit
What You'll Bring
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Experience in aerospace and defense, particularly with mid-sized unmanned aircraft and/or airborne imaging systems is preferred.
4 to 7 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance
Technical Competence:
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile development methodologies
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze test results, and promptly communicate findings internally and with stakeholders.
Knowledge of issue/defect tracking systems such as Jira and technical report writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.),
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards (ISO) is a plus.
