Overwatch Imaging delivers Automated Land Surveillance

Land managers need the ability to easily scan large expanses of land to find small objects of interest. Our Overwatch imaging systems can be used to help fight wildfires, identify irrigation failures in agricultural land, monitor endangered species and for numerous other civil applications. It can also be used for several special mission applications including change detection and field-retrainable automated custom object detection.

Smart tactical mapping

Overwatch enables users to achieve the benefits of high-altitude land surveillance systems from low-altitude aircraft. This enables more readily available and much more cost-effective surveillance of large areas.

The nadir-oriented (i.e. downward-looking) gimbal orientation in Overwatch supports imagery collection with minimal skew and shadowing, creating a cleaner dataset.

Overwatch collects and analyzes imagery in different spectral bands so it often detects more than is apparent to human observers. Automated step-stare imagery collection in Overwatch blends the benefits of line-scanning systems and area-scanning cameras, providing a combination of wide-area coverage and high-resolution imagery.
Overwatch includes color, near infrared (NIR) and temperature-calibrated thermal longwave infrared (LWIR) sensors, operating simultaneously. The sensors are actively stabilized in a dual-axis, downward-looking gimbal with automated step-stare cross-track scanning. Imagery is processed in real time onboard with GPU-accelerated hardware and advanced computer vision software, and stored efficiently with associated metadata for post-collection photogrammetry, analysis and archiving.
Our imaging systems automatically analyze multispectral images onboard in real time, so users can immediately see hard-to-see objects of interest and become aware of any potential issues.

The proprietary imaging system architecture in Overwatch can be reconfigured quickly with application-specific AI software modules, so it has the flexibility to meet the application and site-specific needs of our clients.
